Drum cutters
Drum cutters are one of the more recent innovations in the construction industry compared to hydraulic hammers. Largely driven by new laws requiring less noise and vibration, drum cutters are gaining popularity among civil engineers, technicians and construction company owners.
More than 20 years ago, the German company Erkat invented the drum cutter and became a leader in the field. The company proudly became part of Epiroca in 2018 and continues to develop its equipment as part of Epiroca.

For work transversely - ER and ERC series
ER and ERC are drum cutters designed for transverse work, which means that their drums with blades are mounted vertically. An excellent choice for digging trenches, demolishing walls and breaking rock. Their special ability is that they are quieter and generate significantly less vibration than other joints.
For work longitudinaly - ER-L series
The ER-L series has similar characteristics to the ER and ERC series. The main difference is that only one blade drum is installed longitudinally.
V way - VC series
A new way of digging trenches and quarries! We present to you the new Epiroc (Erkat) drum cutters. A seemingly simple solution, but in fact it saves as much as 40% of energy.
These V-shaped cutters allow nothing between the drums to remain untouched. It is easier to handle and saves more resources.
In the long run, VC tillers are the most cost-effective drum cutters on the market.
